My Hurricane cane came in today. It is a cane that stands alone and is very sturdy. I have been using it all day and it's great. Janet is coming to get me tomorrow to go to the senior center and I'm glad that I don't have to be on the walker. It will be interesting to see her class.
Trudy will probably not be spending the night anymore. I think George told her he missed her. I cooked a pot of chicken barley soup today and it was good. We have plenty to eat. She will be over tomorrow and we will cook up some food to put in the freezer.

About Me

- I'm a graduate of the University of Alabama,class of '66. I majored in music, piano and organ. I taught private piano lessons in Tuscaloosa for a year and then got a teaching job in Key West, FL. There I met my husband, Frank and four months later we were married. Have lived in Athens, AL since 1976. My children grew up in Athens. My husband is bedridden now so I add the title of care taker to the title of homemaker. I never wanted to work outside the home. I enjoyed gardening until I got breast cancer in 2002. I'm not able to do much garden work now, and I miss it. I enjoy going to the Wellness Ctr. to exercise. I enjoy making greeting cards and usually make a card or two each day. I love getting together with my daughters, Trudy and Mary Kate and my grandchildren. My son, Frank, lives in Knoxville,TN, so I don't see him often. He has 4 children. I enjoy being a grandmother.
